How do you approach wedding photography and what style do you shoot?
I am relaxed, organised and very easygoing, I don’t believe in stress and take a professional and friendly approach to weddings. My style comprises of a candid, photojournalistic style that combines beautifully with natural portraits to capture an element of elegance fun and romance of your big day. Composition and colour are key elements to my work, I like to use natural light rather than flash where possible to create unique and stunning memories.
How want to spend as much time with our guests and not all day taking photographs, so much time will we spend on formal photos?
Most couples book me for up to 12 hours coverage and spend less than one hour in front of the camera for the formal photos which are taken at different stages throughout the day. I spend the rest of the time shooting with a candid, photojournalistic approach capturing the day as it unfolds naturally. I usually spend 5 minutes with the bride and bridesmaids in the morning before the ceremony while their hair and makeup is at its best, about 20 minutes on the family photos after the ceremony, less if possible, 20 minutes with the bridal party which is mostly drinking champagne and having a laugh and about 20 minutes with the bride and groom. Some couples want more tine, some want less, ultimately it is up to you to decide, your day your way.
We are camera shy and don’t really like getting our photo taken?
Most couples are camera shy and there is never a problem so you have nothing to worry about. I will encourage you to interact with each other and be yourselves so your photos reflect who you are so you look natural and happy with no awkward poses or fake smiles.
We really like the candid photos, where the guests don’t know they are being photographed, do you take these?
Yes, I place huge emphasis on candid wedding photography, over 90% of your wedding day with be spent taking candid shots. Before the ceremony begins, outside after the ceremony, the drinks reception, the speeches, after dinner and the dancing are fully dedicated to candid photography.

I like to keep things real and natural, I don’t specialise in fairytale weddings or making my brides look like princesses.
